This section of the webpage will probably only
interest people who have lived at Kanto Mura
in the 60's and 70's.
It was a rainy Sunday when I took the pictures.
I attended Chofu until it closed in June of 1974
and have wanted to go back for years; this may
be my last visit to Japan. If anyone has any plans on
going to Japan again and finding Kanto Mura, please
email me. Maybe I can give you a tip or two.
It was well worth the trip, and I recommend it
to anyone who went to school there.
Kanto Mura is referred to as "Kyu Kanto Mura"
and is located at Tama Station on the
Seibu Tamagawa Line. The station looks
the same as it did 30 years ago.
The houses between the station and the base
looked very clean and neat. Tokyo is much cleaner
than I remember. It is almost Singapore clean.
